Laser clinic offers CET sessions

Following the success of its first CET accredited training session for optometrists last month, Viewpoint corrective eye surgery clinic in Manchester will host five more CET events up to June 2006.

Led by consultant ophthalmologist Deepak K Chitkara, the session last month focused on co-management and new developments in refractive surgery, training on the latest technology and ways to maximise business opportunities.

The schedule begins on Wednesday October 5, looking at new advances in lens refractive surgery.

This will be followed by sessions on advances in diagnostic technology (December 7, 2005), Lasik surgery (Feb 1, 2006) and glaucoma (April 4, 2006). The subject of the final session on June 7 2006 is yet to be confirmed.

A highlight for attendees in February will be a live demonstration of laser eye surgery during the session at the clinic.
