The heightened profile of orthokeratology received another boost this week when TV presenter Phillip Schofield revealed on ITV1's This Morning show that he was a user of the technique.
An estimated three million viewers watched a feature on Schofield being fitted by London practitioner Charles Babumba.
Schofield gave a positive account of his fitting with No7's OrthoK system which is now being offered by several practices around the country who have reported increased interest as a result of media coverage.
The item ended with Schofield discarding his Rx spectacles and contact lenses.
The positive TV publicity for OrthoK follows on from coverage in national newspapers and radio stations.
