Eye care on screen

The Eyecare Trust recently held a vision screening clinic for the general public in Aylesbury to highlight the importance of having regular eye exams and to raise awareness of NHS entitlements to tests and vouchers.

Rosie Gavzey, a trustee of the Eyecare Trust, conducted the basic visual screening programme, while Chris Hunt from City Visual Systems used an electronic vision screening programme to test visual acuity, fields and stereopsis.

The clinic was filmed by the BBC for an as yet un-named series of programmes on the NHS to be broadcast in September. Gavzey is pictured with Dominic Littlewood, presenter of the BBC series.
