RNIB sets eye care week date

The RNIB's Eye Health Week, which aims to raise public awareness of eye health and the importance of getting regular eye tests, will take place from October 6-12 2008.

The sight loss charity is urging optical professionals to support the campaign which has the backing of the Eye Health Alliance (EHA) by displaying literature in practices.

'This is an exciting initiative which is helping to drive home the message that eye health is important for all,' commented Heather Marshall, an EHA spokesperson.

To order Eye Health Week posters, stickers and leaflets, contact the RNIB customer service department on 0845 702 3153. All orders for promotional material must be submitted by September 15.
