NEG supports vision charity

The National Eyecare Group (NEG) along with other leading companies is giving its backing to Optometry Giving Sight (OGS) by making it its supported charity.

NEG will ask its 900 members to help support the charity by adding a donation to their bill or making a monthly donation either personally or through their business by asking patients to make a small donation for no fee services such as screws or repairs.

NEG business development manager Phil Mullins explained the group's support: 'Just £2.50 can provide someone with an eye exam and a pair of spectacles. Just think if every optician in the UK donated just £10 per month for a year, we could help give sight to thousands of people.'
