Optician Space has added to its growing list of bloggers with the launch of the Wired column.
There are now seven blogs on Optician Space with the latest based on a new, monthly technology column which appears in Optician this week for the very first time.
Optician Space's blogs now cover a range of topics from designer eyewear to optical ruminations. There is even an optical product blog which is open for anyone to make postings. The Optician Space forum is also proving popular with threads on the new glaucoma guidelines and the possibility of lower GOC fees for dispensing opticians drawing many comments.
The Wired column is written by Paul Houston, sales and marketing manager of See 20/20, and will look at various aspects of technology and practice management each month. Throughout the rest of the month readers can comment and ask questions of Houston through the Wired Blog which appears in the Optician Space section of www.opticianonline.net.
This is a new way for Optician to interact with readers and offers the opportunity for real time advice and support on an increasingly important topic.
'I've been working with IT in optics for over 16 years,' said Houston. 'I am very confident in my ability to know what aspects of IT in practice are most successful. Having the opportunity to talk to Optician readers and answer their queries direct is a very exciting prospect. It will be very interesting to see if I am right in my thoughts and what areas of technology are most important to busy professionals.'
