Sarah Hutt of Lutterworth received a £100 spectacle voucher as the winner of Edmonds & Slatter's Recommend a Friend promotion, run its three practices. Existing customers were entered into the draw as a thank you if they recommended a friend to any of the practices.

In addition Edmonds & Slatter made a small donation to the Leicestershire and Rutland Hospice (Loros) for every new patient that came to them by recommendation. Amy Coleburne, charity co-ordinator for the company said: 'Loros is such a worthwhile cause and many of our patients are very pleased to help support it. We only intended to keep it as our chosen charity for one year, but due to exceptional demand we are pleased to be able to support it for a further year.'

To date Edmonds & Slatter has raised over £1,000 for the charity.
