Johnson & Johnson Vision Care has appointed Clare Hobby as business manager in Ireland.

Hobby will manage the company's sales team in both the Republic and Northern Ireland and will assist in the development of J&J's marketing and professional plans for the Irish contact lens market.

Commenting on her appointment, Hobby said: 'We are extremely excited that production of the world's first daily disposable silicone hydrogel contact lens, 1-Day Acuvue TruEye has come to Limerick. This not only gives us a great opportunity to bring real innovation to the marketplace, but also means we can support the Irish economy and the local community at the same time.'
