Midlands businessmen Ian Houghton and Chris Vincent have bought the assets of Practice Management Services which has responsibility for See20/20, the internet-based management software, and its customer base (News 29.01.10).
A statement issued after the sale said the two men had a 50-year history in IT business services and that they had set up and run UK service companies. The pair also have property interests which include seven business and trading estates. On its website Hovi Developments details seven sites in the Midlands.
The statement described the acquisitions as the cornerstone of a new development for the See20/20 brand.
Houghton said: 'Our investment secures the future of this world-class brand and ensures it is now financially stable. We want to reassure customers that this period of transition will be seamless and in terms of their practice management system, it is very much business as usual with software being fully operational as normal.'
He said practices awaiting service would be the priority. 'We will be contacting them personally over the next few days to resolve any issues they may have. The new company is now in a position to look at long-term plans and to deliver a further enhanced system.'
