Our client is an independent, family run practice who aim to provide top quality eyecare to their patients.
The owner wishes to recruit a Dispensing Manager to take day to day control of the practice, and to make sure that every aspect of the practice is running as efficiently as possible.
The key skills / attributes that the successful candidate will have are as follows:
1) Good command of the English language, easily understood on the telephone and in person
2) Good knowledge of lenses and contact lenses
3) Computer literate
4) A cheerful, approachable character
5) Ambitious / goal orientated
6) Ability to oversee practice's Internet site
7) Used to handling practice administration
8) Methodical
9) Ability to control branch / patient Direct Debit scheme
10) Basic glazing knowledge an advantage
Ideally you will be a qualified Dispensing Optician, although applications from non qualified candidates who meet the above criteria will be considered.
You should bear in mind, before applying, the practice opening hours. The practice opens for 5 days per week, as follows: Mon - Thurs, normal daytime opening hours, Fri close at 1.00pm, Sat closed, Sun open 10am - 1pm. Sunday is often the busiest day, and so it is essential that you are able to work at this time.
