This is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified Dispensing Optician to manage an independent practice in Dorset. As well as a competitive basic salary, the package includes a stakeholder pension scheme, part funded private health care, a minimum of 25 days annual holiday, and no Sunday working at present.

Key Purpose of Role

To manage and develop the practice and staff to maximise sales and profitability through taking positive action to ensure the highest level of performance.

To actively promote, by example, high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct, endorse and uphold Company policies and procedures including health and safety regulations as directed by management.

Contribute to the achievement of the highest standards of customer service and care through personal involvement ,action and competent dispensing, including adapting to different roles and provide a flexible approach within branch.

Maximise sales and profitability by always endeavouring to enhancing key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

Customer service

• To provide the highest level of professional dispensing designed to meet the patients needs and exceed their expectations.

• Assist all key personnel to provide a professional customer journey including but not exclusively telephone skills, interpersonal skills, face to face contact and communication

• Effectively handle enquiries on such matters as services, charges, products and routine treatment procedures

• Deal with all patients and customers equally, responding to their individual needs in the most appropriate manner irrespective of Race, Ethnicity, Beliefs or Ability

• Take personal responsibility to ensure the prompt resolution of customer complaints, in line with Company Complaints Procedure

•To provide the highest level of professional dispensing designed to meet the patients needs and exceed their expectations

Retail

Coach and develop staff to achieve all given targets

- Develop and maintain effective staff performance to reflect branch financial objectives. Maximise the effect of promotions by active team leadership, planning and participation Be responsible for maintaining and strengthening branch turnover and profitability

• To operate, monitor and report on allocated budgets

• Liaising with sales representatives to manage optimum stock levels
