You will be responsible for thorough eye examinations, some contact lens fitting and aftercare, providing your knowledge to colleagues with complex prescriptions and to work closely with the dispensing optician at the handover stage to provide the patient with a comprehensive understanding of their prescription. You will be patient focused, understanding their needs by asking pertinent questions and building rapport through your excellent communication skills.
With regard to the competitive nature of the sector it is important that you have commercial awareness and you should combine this with your clinical skills to drive the business forward from within the consulting room. It is extremely rare that a position of this description becomes available in the central London. Excellent salary and annual travel costs paid for the successful candidate.
