Optician has just moved office. Not too far, just in the same building, but it's a great opportunity to look at, and throw out, some old stuff.
To regular readers of this blog you won't have had much to read of late, sorry I have been otherwise engaged.
I have been doing a lot of interviews and visits plus hosting a round table discussion group.
( see the picture). This was held in the fabulous Edward VII room at Rules in London where, apparently, the old rogue used to meet Lillie Langtree for after-show liaisons.
My other Blog, the Oakley Transitions Ironman Team has also taken my time, check it out.
I'm beginning to understand how smokers feel. Not that I have a habit as nasty as smoking, but I travel.
I seem to have spent most of today booking flights, train journeys and taxis which makes me worry about my carbon footprint.
Part of me wants to make sure all parts of the UK are covered by Optician and for me still to see my family at some point. Another part of me wants my children and their children to have a decent environment left to live in.
So is a day trip to Scotland a journey too far?
Of course there is always the train. The BCLA takes place in Manchester this weekend so I have been booking my journey. By green means this time train. One thing puzzles me though. On a weekday it takes 2 and a bit hours to get from London's Euston to Manchester. But on Sunday it takes over four hours to get from Manchester to Euston! Add on the 2 hours to get home from Euston and global warming is beginning to have less sway iover my thinking.
It's not easy being green.
