100% Optical: Looking for lenses

The 10th 100% Optical saw delegate numbers and exhibitors back up to pre-Covid figures, with Saturday and Sunday particularly busy, meaning it was a great time to see what was new in dispensing and spectacle lenses.

This year it was clear that hi-tech innovations were not just confined to the consulting room with digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance the whole dispensing process now available from many companies.

Often referred to as the ‘theatre of dispensing,’ while you could argue that all a skilled dispensing optician needs is a ruler, pen and pantoscopic tilt gauge, technology can produce that wow factor and achieves much greater patient engagement.
