Eco Eyewear celebrates planting 3.6 million trees

Sustainable eyewear brand Eco Eyewear celebrated planting 3.6 million trees through its ‘one frame, one tree’ programme, capturing over 164 million kilograms of CO2.

The programme, which plants one tree for every frame purchased, was founded alongside the launch of Eco Eyewear in 2009 in partnership with non-profit organisation Trees for future.

As well as supporting climate preservation, the programme has helped local farmers with education and resources to improve soil and vegetation, increased crops and business opportunities.

Eco Eyewear called on practitioners to raise awareness of environmental issues this Earth Day on April 22, highlighting its efforts to collect 60 tons of plastic through clean-up projects to date plus its latest Carbon Footprint report.
