GOC holds first Council meeting of the year

A draft consultation on the GOC’s vision, mission and strategic objectives for its 2025-30 plan was approved at the first Council meeting of the year on March 13. This was supported by three strategic objectives: creating fairer and more inclusive eye care services; supporting responsible innovation and protecting the public; and preventing harm through agile regulation. The consultation will begin in April and was expected to be agreed on by the Council in December with the final plan published in early 2025.
