Proven Track Record (PTR) and the National Eyecare Group (NEG) end conference collaboration.

Proven Track Record (PTR) and the National Eyecare Group (NEG) have announced that they are ending their conference collaboration.

In 2016 and 2017 the companies held two conferences on consecutive days with a combined exhibition, before piloting a new combined roadshow format this year adding London and Bolton to the usual Midlands location.

NEG operations director Phil Mullins said: ‘We continue to have a great relationship with PTR and will continue to support one another for the benefit of the wider independent sector. I personally would like to thank Nick for his hard work in organising the events and wish the whole PTR team the very best for the future.’

PTR director Nick Atkins said: ‘We have been delighted with the results from our collaboration with NEG and, whilst disappointed that it’s now ending, we part company on the best of terms and will continue to work together for mutual benefit.

‘David [Goad] and I are now planning for the next phase of Independents Day’s future. What we are sure of, at a time of continuing decline for the independent retail sector and by listening to our delegates, is that there is a need, as well as a demand for what iDay offers the sector.’
