Obituary: Trevor Morgan

Optician is sad to report the passing of optometrist Trevor Morgan, who died peacefully at home on September 7, 2023 after being diagnosed with cancer.

Born in 1937 in Barnet, Morgan followed the career of his father, Norman, who was a pharmacist-optician and ran a chemist’s shop in Kentish Town before moving to Carmarthenshire during the war.

Morgan trained in optics at the Northampton College of Advanced Technology (now City, University of London) and was admitted to the Opticians Register in June 1961.

He married Brenda, a mathematician, in 1962 and worked with his parents at an independent practice in Ammanford from the early 1960s.
