Resident Optometrist

Hours: Full Time or Part Time (flexible working possible)
Salary: £32,250 - £42,250 basic (depending on experience/ pro-rata for part-time hours worked) plus benefits and potential bonus

The Role:
Dollond & Aitchison have an exciting opening for a resident Optometrist who would like to work in a busy and thriving branch. This position offers a great opportunity to live in a fantastic location, receive a competitive salary plus great bonus potential. As the resident Optometrist you would not only be asked to deliver outstanding eyecare, but as part of the Branch Leadership Team you would also be working closely with the Branch Manager to support the day-to-day running of this branch to achieve exceptional business results.

The Branch:
The Branch is over two floors, with a staff room and eighteen staff, including a Branch Manager, an Optometrist and a Student Dispensing Optician. There are three testing rooms with Slit lamp, Keratometer, Pupilometer and one field screener. With another Shopping Centre recently opened, there is plenty of business at this busy Branch. You will be supported by a large and experienced team who are very professional. In addition to this, Plymouth has a great atmosphere, providing the sort of life you would expect from a city, with the tranquility of the sea never far away.

The Area:
A great nautical city, there is a fantastic mix of the old and the new here. You can visit where Drake played bowls as the Armada approached, or enjoy the pedestrianised streets as you take a look round the shops, from department stores to boutiques. Plymouth is also close to the national park, Dartmoor, so you have the benefit of the countryside right by the city.
