According to SA, Signaview combines ‘optical perfection with an affordable price’ and meets all the demands associated with a digital free-form lens. This includes a maximised field of view, clear distance vision at every point of gaze, increased prescription accuracy and quick patient adaptation. ‘Signaview is a fantastic entry point for those who want to experience high quality free-form lenses without a big cost difference compared with a traditionally surfaced progressive lens,’ said SA’s product marketing manager, Claire Cooke. SignaView has a 16mm corridor length and is available from a wide range of materials from 1.50 to 1.74 index including Polarised, Transitions VI and SunSensors. Signet Armorlite (SA) has introduced an advanced free-form progressive which it described as easy to dispense and to wear. Made using micro digital surfacing technology, the Kodak Easy Lens diminishes the residual lateral astigmatism associated with conventional progressive lenses. According to SA, the lens requires no complicated measurements or equipment. With standard progressive measurements the lens will automatically calculate the appropriate corridor length in for the optimum lens design to be surfaced for the patient’s frame choice. Each lens can be personalised by laser engravings of three initials to every lens. Kodak Easy Lens is hard coated and available in a range of materials from 1.50 to 1.74 index with polarised, Transitions, SunSensors and InstaShades options. SA has a buy-one-get-one-free deal on all first orders. Details: 01452 887410 or email enquiries@kodaklens.co.uk
Signet Armorlite has announced that the SA-X Factor Competition winning name is…SA-Xcel. Congratulations to Mr Than Wai, of the Retina Medical Eye Centre who was the lucky winner of the Toshiba Laptop. Out of all of the entries Mr Wai took great care in not only creating a name which utilises the SA brand but also combined it with a well known computer term. As well as this, Mr Wai went beyond just thinking about the name, he also submitted reasons for the new name: X = eXcellent near and intermediate range C = Comfort and clear wider central field E = Enhanced vision up to 4 metres L = Low distortion and long corridor ‘We put our trust in the optical profession to create a name for Signet Armorlite’s new occupational lens and were delighted to see so many participating. The judges felt that the name submitted by Mr Wai worked for everyone; Signet, the dispenser and the consumer. SA-Xcel Lens needs very little explanation and is perfect for a lens which is primarily used in an office-based environment.’ explains Claire Cooke, Product Marketing Manager. ‘Thank you to everyone who entered.’ For further information or to receive details of the lens call Signet Armorlite Marketing on 01452 887410.
