Anglia Ruskin wins research prize

Members of Anglia Ruskin University's Department for Vision and Hearing Sciences and the Vision and Eye Research Unit (VERU) have been recognised by the College of Optometrists in its annual research excellence awards.

Dr Richard Calver (right) and Dr Ebi Osuobeni, senior lecturers in optometry, received the Bernard Gilmartin Ophthalmic & Physiological Optics Award for the most highly regarded paper published in the journal Ophthalmic & Physiological Optics in the preceding five years.

Former head of department at the university, Professor Daniel O'Leary (left), and Dr Hema Radhakrishan, a former PhD student, completed the research team and were also honoured.
