A series of cycling challenges have bolstered donations to the charity Optoms Cycling for Sight this summer.
Optometrist Gordon Ilett completed a 500-mile journey across the Pyrenees to raise £520, while staff at Topcon (pictured) cycled 100 miles on an exercise bike in the office, collecting £210.
Tim Bowden, partner at Bowden & Lowe Opticians, will be cycling from Avonmouth to the Isle of Grain, Kent – already raising £780 – and Optoms Cycling for Sight founders Fares Hatoum and Abubakr Patel take on the London to Paris route in 24 hours later this month.
