Optometry Scotland regional reps hope to connect

Optometry Scotland has introduced regional representatives to build better relationships and encourage more engagement with independent optical practice owners and their staff.

Julie Mosgrove, pictured, chair of Optometry Scotland, said: ‘Introducing regional clusters with independent representatives allows us to gain deeper insight on the issues facing optometrists, meaning we can more accurately campaign on their behalf.’

Arthur McHugh, managing director of Hughes and McHugh Optometrists, will represent the West of Scotland; Collette Dunsmore, optometrist and practice owner in Stonehouse, will represent the South; Dundee-based optometrist Ian Jarvis will represent the North; and Richard Spruce, who works between practices in Forth Valley and the Scottish Borders, will represent the East.
