It had been a long hard day at a conference centre near Dorking, Surrey, a long hard day that had followed a poor night’s sleep for Frank, two, and Arthur, seven months, and therefore mum and dad. In the unfamiliar surroundings of my little-used Skoda Felicia estate (it’s very good actually) I endured a tortuously hot, two-hour journey home that made me remember why I usually travel to work by air-conditioned train. My Oakley Square Wire 2.0 prescription sunglasses coped well with the bright conditions, but they are not the subject of this ‘test’.
