CLs: Finding the special one

Optician presents some of the specialist contact lenses available for fitting in the UK

The IntegroLens family are a range of printed prosthetic rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses from Cantor + Nissel designed to help patients with prosthetic and cosmetic needs. The lenses feature highly detailed, realistic iris patterns and are available in 20 colours. This wide range allows for a natural match for the majority of patients, with a choice of both clear and black backing and clear or black pupils, to assist with a multitude of complications. Although the iris diameter is set at 11.50, the lenses are available in four pupil diameters. There are four lens designs to choose from: two corneal, made in the Contamac F2 Low material (Oxyflex Percon and Apex) and two scleral, made in the Contamac Optimum Extra material (Nissel Sixteen-50 and Nissel Eighteen-20). Clear fitting lenses are available to check the fit before printing and patients can choose the iris colour from the Cantor Prosthetic colour swatch, which is the original soft version of the IntegroLens.
