Along with its multipurpose solution, Mark’ennovy offers a one-step peroxide disinfectant solution for contact lenses. The system, which features a vitamin B2 yellow colour indicator, is said to disinfect and neutralise in one hour, providing a rapid and comprehensive clean for all types of soft and rigid contact lenses, including soft silicone hydrogel lenses. Its neutralising tablet’s coating dissolves during a 12-minute disinfectant stage on its way to transforming into a preservative-free saline solution at the end of the neutralisation. The product is packed and delivered in modern, black and white boxes that Mark’ennovy says complements its wider contact lens offering. The solutions are available in 60ml and 360ml packs, and are only available to eye care professionals and not sold on the internet.

Bausch + Lomb: Biotrue Multi-Purpose Solution
The Biotrue Multi-Purpose Solution dual disinfection system is said to offer unsurpassed disinfection efficacy by exceeding minimum stand-alone procedure for disinfecting products. The formulation contains an innovative protein management system to maintain natural tear protein function, with an added wetting agent of hyaluronic acid for up to 20 hours of moisture. This increases lens wettability, is bio-inspired by the natural pH range of healthy tears (7.3-7.7) and reduces the formation of irritating deposits on the lens surface for continuous patient comfort. The product is available in a range of sizes: 2x300ml, 300ml, 240ml flat bottle, flight pack 1x100ml and flight pack 1x60ml.
Oté: Fine solution
Oté describes its Fine product as an all-in-one comfort solution for rigid gas permeable and orthokeratology contact lenses. Fine is said to deliver comfort due to the special agent HPMC and effective, thorough cleaning with strong disinfecting qualities. The solution is pH neutral to minimise the risk of irritation and contains no animal substances.
Avizor: Unica Sensitive
According to Avizor, the formulation for its Unica Sensitive product provides extra comfort and combines two lubricating agents, high molecular weight sodium hyaluronate and povidone, which provide excellent moisture and lubrication. The minimum concentration of preservatives (polyhexamethylene biguanide 0.0001%), make Unica Sensitive a good option for wearers with sensitive eyes.
