The CooperVision FORCE Student Awards acknowledges student projects from the universities of the UK and Ireland and offers the students shortlisted a chance to present their findings to panels of experts at a UK and international level. Optician always aims to support this noble project and aims to have the winning students have their first taste of publication.
Last year, there were three projects shortlisted from the UK and Ireland. After one year missed due to the pandemic, it was good to see the event return, albeit via a Zoom conference link (pictured).
As CooperVision professional services consultant Chithra Dhanabalan, who hosted the event, pointed out: ‘An absolutely phenomenal standard was set by the three university teams. It was humbling to see how well, and how confidently, they presented in what was extremely new territory for them. But there could only be one winner.’
