'A couple of years after school, I went to work for an optician in Peterborough as a lab technician,' Quincey explains. 'I liked the individual nature of optics and the technical aspect particularly. Every job you come across is a different challenge and there is always something you can develop, work on and improve. That is very much how we, as a company today, are inclined. My family has a strong engineering tradition so that has long influenced my approach.'
