Yiannis Kotoulas talks to IbisVision about teleoptometry and the peace of mind it can offer during the pandemic

IbisVision was founded in 2014 by former eye surgeon Dr Blair Donaldson with the intention of disrupting optometric testing and allowing more patients to be seen. The remote-testing company has seen interest in its product grow exponentially during the Covid-19 pandemic and has been accelerating the roll-out of its technology with outside funding from Miami-based Compiler Venture Capital.

‘We have always believed that having a no-contact solution and remote testing could support the optical industry now and in the future,’ explained IbisVision marketing manager Laura Hillhouse. ‘The pandemic has accelerated this interest and therefore validated that our product can help the industry and the challenges that it faces.’
