Duette Progressive Centre Distance
SynergEyes UK’s Duette Progressive Centre Distance contact lens has proprietary Centre Distance FlexOptics technology which recognises that all eyes are different and that pupil sizes vary.
The hybrid contact lenses are customisable for presbyopia, even for those patients with astigmatism, so that all eventualities can be covered.
SynergEyes UK emphasises that, even though Duette Progressive has the unique combination of customisable base curves, add powers and centre distance zone sizes, the lens is easily fitted empirically, saving on chair time and it is not subject to the variable vision often experienced with soft toric multifocal lenses. Duette Progressive is not available to the public on the internet, giving practitioners the opportunity to differentiate their practice by offering a bespoke specialist contact lens experience to more patients.

Preslux multifocal lens gives centre distance and a progressive add that provides both near, distance and intermediate vision, ideal for computer work and reading. Viewing zones can be adjusted according to pupil size to facilitate sharper vision. It can also be manufactured in reverse, so the addition is in the centre if preferred. The aspheric design provides extra comfort for the patient and Preslux is available in a wide range of gas permeable materials. The Preslux lens is offered on a 28-day trial package for new patients with an exchange facility incorporated.

Mark’ennovy and the Brien Holden Vision Institute have teamed up to develop EDOF, a soft contact lens for presbyopes. The monthly individually crafted lens, powered by the Brien Holden Vision Institute’s patented Extended Depth of Focus technology, is positioned to take on the shortcomings of other multifocal soft contact lenses.
The optimisation of higher order aberrations take into consideration different pupil sizes, decentrations and aberrations, and support clear vision at all distances as well as minimising unwelcomed visual disturbances like ghosting and haloes. Its silicone hydrogel material combine high water content and low coefficient of friction to improve comfort throughout the day, while its wide range of parameters and low elastic modulus ensure a precise fit and easy handling.

Fusion 7days presbyo
Fusion 7days presbyo is the new weekly contact lens for presbyopia by Safilens. It is part of the Fusion line, the family of contact lenses that incorporates the company’s patented Fusion technology system.
Fusion 7days presbyo is based on the afocal lens design patented by Safilens: the lens is neither multifocal nor progressive but features a small hyper-refractive central area that excludes the paraxial optical rays from the retinal image. The afocal lens increases depth of field and therefore the interval of accommodative amplitude.
Furthermore, unlike a multifocal contact lens that requires a complex process of adaptation by the brain as well as the eye, it does not need any adaptation time because the process does not involve simultaneous vision. The LacriMass design allows optimal distribution of the tear film across the entire external surface of the lens, even in the marginal areas, where the greatest causes of ocular stress arise.

Onefit MED Multifocal
The Onefit MED Multifocal is a simultaneous vision, near-centred, aspheric design. The system combines a distance lens profile (D Lens) for the dominant eye and a near lens profile (N Lens) for the non-dominant eye. As a variant of the standard Onefit MED miniscleral, it can be fitted using a standard 20-lens fitting set. To further improve comfort, the breakthrough Tangible Hydra-PEG coating is available for lenses ordered in Optimum Infinite.
