OCT conference returns

Having established itself as a major event in the eye care CET calendar, the Topcon National OCT conference returns again this autumn. Optician looks ahead

It has surprised some in the profession how such an advanced clinical technique as optical coherence tomography (OCT) has developed into an important and integral part of modern optometry in the UK. Increasing numbers of practices have access to OCT and more and more professionals look forward to opportunities to best use this technology to the benefit of their patients and their business.

Last year, Topcon launched a new annual event for the UK. The National OCT Conference attracted hundreds of practitioners to Birmingham to hear about the latest developments in OCT, to learn about new variations of the technique, such as the exciting new OCT angiography platforms, and to discuss and debate individual cases with other practitioners (images from last year are shown on this page). Oh, and the chance to earn a crop of CET points into the bargain.
