The new 14-strong Ascari brand launched at Optrafair became the 15th in Dunelm Optical’s portfolio. Taking its inspiration from Italian fashions, the new brand has been developed after feedback from opticians who requested a line that appealed to an older, fashion-conscious patient base. Silhouette, Legends, www.silhouette.com

Frames in the Legends collection have previously been worn by HRH Queen Elizabeth II and have been a mainstay for the Austrian manufacturer for decades. The new range features new hues and sizes for what the company said was a mature, style conscious patient. Silhouette’s own SPX material has also been updated with a crystalline core featuring soft colour tones and floral patterns.
