As Silmo as an event grows, it is becoming increasingly fashion driven. One company taking advantage of the focus on fashion was Carl Zeiss Vision Sunlens. The company unveiled the first branded sun lens at this year’s exhibition. To distinguish its products from others, the company will now customise its lenses by engraving a small ‘Z’ on them.
Along with differentiating the lens from others, the branding will serve as a consumer guarantee that the lenses meet the highest control and quality standards. The current lenses, the company claims, offer consumers ‘total protection’ from the harmful effects of the sun. This has been achieved through the introduction of two types of coatings – one anti-scratch and one anti-reflective Bluez AR which reduces internal reflections to just 0.5 per cent.
