Of the many literature review tools available, QxMD is the one I have found most useful over the past year. It allows you to link to an extensive list of subject areas, specify which journals within that area you would like to be included, sends alerts out whenever an article is published which is of possible interest, allows you to immediately access the abstract and overview, and then offers a quick link to the full paper which is downloadable as a PDF if required.

Setting up the app to meet your needs is worth investing a little time in. By being specific about the journals, key subject areas and any key words or topics, you can ensure you only receive email and pop up prompts that are relevant (most of the time).
