After much deliberation and heart-searching shortlists for the 16 categories in the 2017 Optician Awards have now been drawn up

Last week in London the final judging session of the 2017 awards saw six panels of judges convene to make their deliberations on who would win through to the final round of the Optician Awards 2017.

The judges had all been provided with access to the online entries from more than 200 optical practices, professionals and companies seeking to have their names included in the Optician Awards hall of fame. In all, around 50 judges had input on the entries this year and most commented on the quality and professionalism of the submissions made.

Discussions on the day were intense, some categories drew a large number of entries making the judges’ work even harder and a place on the shortlist all the more of an achievement.
