Mylo heralds new type of management

Mark'ennovy has teamed up with the Brien Holden Vision Institute to produce Mylo

Mark'ennovy has teamed up with the Brien Holden Vision Institute (BHVI) to produce Mylo, its new soft contact lens specifically designed to manage myopia.

The lens has an extended depth of focus design that ‘provides a signal to slow eye growth by degrading quality of the image behind the eye and therefore reducing the risk of the eye growing posteriorly’, said Professor Padmaja Sankaridurg, head of the global myopia centre by the BHVI.

The contact lens has been certified as a medical device for myopia management in Europe and is individually crafted from silicone hydrogel. It is now available as a monthly replacement in a broader range of base curves and diameters.
