ABDO appoints new head of policy and public affairs

Debbie McGill has been appointed the new head of policy and public affairs at the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO).

McGill has been an ABDO policy and public affairs officer since February 2018 and has worked in optical policy for 12 years.

She said: ‘I'm really pleased to accept this new position within ABDO. I will continue to deliver the policy aims and objectives to maintain, promote and develop the dispensing opticians workforce, by identifying opportunities in line with service pathways and patient need. I look forward to continuing these relationships as I undertake my new position.’
