ABDO College's new optical assistant course is open for applications
A new optical assistant course from the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO) College is now open for applications.
ABDO has said that the flexible course will start in September and will combine practical tasks with online modules and workshops. Optional workshops focusing on repairs and pre-screening will take place at ABDO’s National Resource Centre in Birmingham.
According to ABDO, the course will ‘provide a firm foundation for people to progress to the level 4 OA and OT courses and the ophthalmic dispensing courses. In response to student and employer feedback, there are no examinations and no examination fees.’
The course will last for 25 weeks and will cost £795.
