ABDO College names new trustees

ABDO College has welcomed the appointment of three new trustees

ABDO College has welcomed the appointment of three new trustees.

Former ABDO College student Les Thomas has replaced Angela McNamee, who ended her term as a trustee this month. Thomas, the learning and development specialist for DOs and CLOs at Boots Opticians, was joined by Claire Walsh, a college tutor of nine years, and Helen Wilkinson, a locum DO and senior tutor at the college. Walsh and Wilkinson have replaced Kim Devlin and John Hardman, who planned to retire in July this year.

The chair of trustees, Angela McNamee, also stood down from her role after five years in the position. McNamee was succeeded by ex-ABDO president, Clive Marchant, pictured below.

Marchant commented: ‘With change comes new opportunities and ABDO College will continue to be at the forefront of delivering world class education for the optical profession.’
