ABDO College’s OA workshops return

An optical assistant workshop run by ABDO College has returned to the National Resource Centre in Birmingham for the first time since the start of the pandemic.

The workshop was designed to help optical assistant’s develop their skills in spectacle repairs, adjustments and pre-screening.

Mat Stringers, operations manager at the National Resource Centre, said: ‘The practical elements of the days complement the distanced learning and provide the optical assistants with practical screening, repairs and customer services as well as the opportunity to put questions to tutors and share experiences with other optical assistants.’
