AIO conference welcomes new regulation chief

New GOC chief executive and registrar Vicky McDermott has made her first public appearance at this year’s AIO Conference in Cambridge.

Addressing independent practitioners and students, she vowed to balance the interests of public eye health with her role as a regulator.

MP Jim Shannon, the new chairman of the APPG on Eye Health and Visual Impairment, also spoke at last weekend’s event, held at the Moller Centre.
