AOP launches domiciliary patient leaflets

The AOP has published a domiciliary leaflet for patients

A leaflet to help patients better understand domiciliary eye care has been produced for patients who cannot get to a high street optical practice.

Published by the Association of Optometrists (AOP), the leaflet explained what happens during a sight test at home and how to find an optometrist who provides these services.

It also included an explanation of who is eligible for NHS -funded sight test and how to access help towards the cost of their spectacles.

The leaflet, along with the AOP’s other patients leaflets, have been awarded the Crystal Mark from the Plain English Campaign, which means it is accessible and easy to understand.
