B&L takes to the air with PureVision

Contact lens manufacturer Bausch & Lomb recently took part in a live radio discussion about the development of extended wear contact lenses.

Nick Atkins, Bausch & Lomb professional marketing and clinical affairs manager, gave an in-depth interview about the advantages of PureVision lenses on London's independent radio station LBC last month. Also on air was the programme's regular eye correspondent, dispensing optician Gina Nikolov from Eye Life Opticians in southeast London. Mr Atkins focused in particular on the background of the contact lenses and their benefits for patients, as part of the company's on-going communication strategy for PureVision during 2000. He commented: 'Bausch & Lomb want to make the public aware that these new lenses are now available, and advise people who require vision correction on the difference they can make to their lifestyle. 'Exposure on programmes makes people think about their lenses, perhaps when they are cleaning or removing their existing pair.' - For further details on PureVision, practitioners should contact 0800 783 3927.
