Bausch Health has announced that it will expand its production sites in two countries.
The company will be adding multiple production lines at its sites in Rochester in the USA’s New York and Waterford in Ireland to support the manufacture of its daily disposable silicone hydrogel contact lenses. It is expected that the expansions will create more than 200 extra jobs over the next four years.
Joseph C. Papa, chairman and CEO at Bausch Health, said: ‘By expanding the production capacity at both locations, we will continue to build on their legacies as we invest for the future. The increased manufacturing capabilities will enable us to meet our anticipated global customer demand for the Bausch+Lomb daily disposable silicone hydrogel contact lenses, a product that is critical to both our ongoing transformation and to our mission of improving people's lives globally.’
