Submissions for the 2022 British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) Fellowship scheme have opened for those wishing to apply to become a BCLA Fellow.

The Fellowship scheme, launched in 2006, was created to recognise BCLA members’ esteem in the field of contact lenses and the anterior eye and allows Fellows to use the postnominals FBCLA.

To gain a Fellowship, members must be awarded 50 points by the academic committee and subsequently satisfy the committee of their credentials in an oral assessment. The deadline date for submissions has been set for March 31, 2022, in the UK, and May 31, 2022, for BCLA Asia.

BCLA chief executive, Luke Stevens-Burt, said: ‘Our Fellowship programme aims to highlight the work of the leading eye care professionals and their commitment to innovation, research and life-changing vision care.’
