Birmingham Optical will be holding a series of NIDEK OCT refresher days.

The two-track events will include CET discussion workshops, presentations, basic and advanced user training, as well as a business session.

The course, hosted by Jason Higginbotham, director of medical and education and Birmingham Optical, will include an introduction to the NIDEK OCT. And Birmingham Optical’s head of education, Sophie Withers, will speak on the topic of ‘fitting OCT into your practice’ as well as offering advice on how to make your device a commercial success.

The first event of the series will be held at ABDO Resource Centre in Birmingham on Monday December 17.

Higginbotham said: ‘The aim of these refresher days is to help optometrists and their support staff get the very best from the NIDEK OCT. It’s also the last chance to get CET points for the current cycle, which will be inputted by the cut-off date at the end of December.’

Tickets for the refresher day are £75 and are available on Birmingham Optical’s website.
