Black & Lizars partner up with Scottish Cricketers Association

Black & Lizars announces new partnership with Scottish Cricketers Association

Black & Lizars has announced a new partnership with the Scottish Cricketers Association.

The partnership will enable Scottish cricket players to have complimentary enhanced eye exams at any Black & Lizars practices and the first team will receive a 40% discount on Oakley sunglasses for the T20 World Cup Qualifiers in October. Calum MacLeod, International Cricket Council Associate Player of the Year 2018, had his free eye examination in the Frederick Street practice in Edinburgh.

Director at Black & Lizars, Allan Beckett said: ‘With another busy summer of fixtures ahead, we will work with cricketers and coaches across the country to highlight the importance of eye health. Visual skills and eye health are absolutely vital for the sport, both to avoid injury and to improve decision making. We would encourage all players, regardless of age, ability or experience, to ensure their eyes are checked regularly.’

Scotland international Alasdair Evans added: ‘The game is won and lost by extremely fine margins, and I wouldn’t be able to play at this level without my eyes being in full working order. Our partnership with Black & Lizars will allow the players to be at the very top of their game, as they will have access to the very best service, knowledge, treatment and customer care.’
