​Blind Veterans UK release film highlighting sight loss issues

Blind Veterans UK has released a new film highlighting how people who lose their sight can feel isolated.

Called Ken’s Story, the film was made by Morever and followed Ken, a veteran supported by the charity, who lost his sight due to age-related macular degeneration.

Major General Nick Caplin, chief executive of Blind Veterans UK, said: ‘We estimate that there are up to 50,000 veterans entitled to our support but not receiving it. Veterans like Ken, who are living with sight loss and possibly experiencing those same feelings of isolation.’
