BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions UK has announced the launch of a healthcare division, focusing on the optical, hospital and pharmacy markets among others.
The unit would provide financing solutions so companies can fund and expand their business capabilities, it said.
BNP has had experience in financing sectors in the healthcare market such as optometry equipment for more than 40 years.
Nick Hoof, the newly appointed head of healthcare sales, said: ‘I am delighted to be leading the healthcare business at a time when the UK market is expanding rapidly. To support this rapid growth, BNP has ambitious plans to offer businesses across the industry the finance solutions and technology they need to better serve their patients both now, and in the future.’
One partner already secured is Hub and Spoke Innovations, which supplies a 24-hour automated prescription robot to pharmacies and surgeries so patients can collect their medication at any point during the day (see picture).
