Boots Opticians jobs form part of head office restructure

Jobs at Boots Opticians head office in Nottingham are at risk as part of a restructuring process.

The multiple has annjounced a 45-day consultation as part of a major restructure involving 800 staff that could result in up to 350 lob losses across all divisions at its head office.

A company spokesperson told Optician the optical retail division of the business would undergo smaller scale restructuring, affecting 170 support staff, who would be dealt with on an individual basis.

‘Like all retailers, we are operating in a new environment in which customers need us to move faster and recognise that they want to shop differently, Boots managing director Seb James said.
